About the founder

I am a mechanical engineer with many years of experience in mechanical and plant engineering. I founded my company in 2018 - originally with the aim of supporting companies in the procurement of metal components.

I have always been an enthusiastic camper in my private life: first with a tent, later with a caravan - and now with a self-built motorhome based on the Peugeot Boxer. This is exactly where the story of Prickstop.com began.

When I was upgrading my own vehicle, I started to use my experience in professional purchasing and manufacturing to procure suitable safety solutions. Step by step, I tested the first products, installed them myself and finally added them to my store.

Today, we sell a carefully selected range of camper security products - all of which I have personally tested and many of which I have installed in my own vehicle. Over 5,000 customers have already opted for our solutions and secured their vehicles.

Personal advice is particularly important to me. I understand the concerns of my customers because it's about my own hobby - camping. I am available, whether by e-mail, telephone or sometimes even directly at the campsite.

And this is just the beginning: new products are already in the pipeline - perhaps soon for other vehicle models too.

Our "test vehicle"

Time and again, we receive inquiries as to whether our safety products are also suitable for other camper models.

However, all solutions - from our PrickStop door locks to the pedal lock - are based on our own vehicle, in which we test them on a daily basis: a Peugeot Boxer L3 H2 (built in 2018), which we purchased second-hand and converted into a compact three-berth, no-conversion panel van.

Comfort and suitability for everyday use were at the forefront of the conversion. We made all the furniture ourselves and all the tanks are underfloor to save space. A 200 W solar panel and a 100 Ah LiFePO₄ battery ensure a reliable power supply, while a diesel parking heater provides cozy warmth.

This keeps us independent of gas bottles and gives us valuable storage space for our kitesurfing equipment.
