HEOSafe VAN Security – Auxiliary Lock for Sliding & Rear Doors in Black or White

HEOSafe VAN Security is a robust, externally mounted auxiliary lock for securing sliding, rear and barn doors on camper vans and panel vans. It is mounted on a body panel and can therefore be used universally, regardless of the vehicle model, provided the installation position is suitable.

Universal use

Because the lock is mounted externally on a body panel and does not require a model-specific counterpart on the door, it fits a wide range of panel vans and camper vans – for example vehicles based on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Opel Movano, Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter or Renault Master. The decisive factor is not the vehicle model, but a suitable mounting surface and sufficient clearance for the door to pass the lock when opened.

Why secure the sliding door separately?

The sliding door is an important access point with a large opening. There is also a risk that a window may be forced open and the door then opened using the interior handle. A key-operated external lock makes opening the door significantly more difficult, even if the original mechanism is manipulated.

How it works

The system consists of a single unit mounted externally on a body panel that prevents the door from opening. There is no counterpart on the door that could jam as the body moves.

Installation

Installation is carried out by marking and drilling the mounting points. For a sliding door, installation on the side panel approximately 10 cm above the guide rail is recommended. Before final fastening, check that the sliding door passes the lock cleanly when fully open. On barn doors, the lock is mounted on the side of the door that is locked from the inside. Remove the key before opening the sliding door.
